About Us

Nestled in the heart of Lincoln Heights, Hillside Elementary is one of the community's hidden gems. Since 1890, Hillside has proudly served generations of families, with our current campus continuing that legacy since 1936. While rich in history and tradition, Hillside is also a vibrant school where every child is known, valued, and inspired to succeed.
 
Our dedicated staff provides high-quality instruction, meaningful relationships, and a safe, inclusive learning environment where students build confidence, develop character, and achieve academic success. At Hillside, we believe every child can learn, lead, and thrive—and we invite your family to discover what makes our school such a special place to call home.
 
Our school is proud to have earned recognition as a California Gold Ribbon School and recipient of the Title I Academic Achievement Award, reflecting our unwavering commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. We are also honored to partner with GO East LA and the Leslie and William McMorrow USC Neighborhood Academic Initiative (NAI), providing students with opportunities that inspire college and career aspirations. Through this partnership, students receive guidance, enrichment, and academic support as they prepare for future success, and we celebrate the many Hillside Hawks who have been accepted into this prestigious program.
